Photography Review

Tomorrow night is my last photography review at Samford. It makes me sad, but...those are the breaks. If you lived in Birmingham, it would be ever so much fun for you to join us tomorrow night as all of the students from all classes gather for the Semester Review. My instructor is fabulous and I will miss his eye and advice. So....without much more fanfare - these are the shots selected for review for the Winter Semester:

I thought some were interesting choices....of course a couple of my favorites didn't make the cut.

  1. It's always so interesting to see what other people are attracted to. My favorite photos are always so different from the ones that other people choose. Perhaps it's our emotional attachments to some of our own work makes it look different to us.

But that first photo is really a stunner. Have a good time at your review.

  7. Char, are these all yours? They are incredible! Wow. Really. I'm just sitting here saying "wow!"

The first one is just amazing! If I lived near, I would definitely go! What an inspiration it would be! I'm gad we can at least see them on your blog.

  10. Thanks you all!!! I am quite excited with some of the shots I got this semester. I will miss Samford as it is the place where I really grew as a photographer. Hopefully Montgomery will have a good school too.

  12. NOOO! The waterfall picture is just surreal. Beautiful how one waterfall is blurred and the other one super sharp (I know it is probably the same river).

  13. These are some of my very favourites.
Go home tonight, make yourself a pot of tea, curl up on the couch, and watch House. Good things come to those who are pure of heart, Charlene, and you are well overdue for a storm of joy.

  15. Hey Char! I haven't seen the other selections, but the posted photos are all awesome...of course, the umbrella photo is absolutely stunning...I just love that one. I agree with tangobaby - it's such a trip to see what others choose, all the different perspectives.

Awesome work, Char...your style continues to blossom and astound me!

  17. Jenny - because I'm moving to Montgomery (and I'm jobless) so I guess I'm picking up classes there as I can afford them.

  18. Oo, that second one of the waterfall looks familiar...is that at Multnomah Falls in Oregon? I suspect it might be. That's only about an hour from where we live in Portland! All these selections are lovely work.
