this is what happens when it rains

and you get your tripod and macro lens out....and you're bored. sorry for the seed catelog aspect of some of the shots, just what I fuss about at times. not artistic but they're focused by jiminy! hahahaha

  2. Oooh - the first and sixth one are my favorites! You really nailed the focus on all of them. High-five. So often I see people attempt these shots and they don't turn out half as nice as these.

    I did the same thing today....almost....no tripod, no rain, but shots of the tulips I bought at whole foods to cheer me up since it's going to snow this weekend....yes, I said %@*(^& SNOW !!!!

    these were wonderful to look at and drool over !!!

  7. the first flower is called a Pincushion - it has purple and white flowers in a cluster when it blooms. very pretty.

    and yes, that's a variety of carnation that starts with a "d" - I'm horrible at remembering flower names.

  16. ah, the macro lens! my favorite friend, i have discovered! i find the details of creation so very amazing that i can spend hours in the teeny tiny world of the macro!! you did a great job with these! i think they're beautiful, char!

  26. I looked through all my seed catalogs and no, not one of the pictures looked ANYTHING like those photos! If they did, the companies wouldn't be able to keep any of the seeds in stock! Beautiful work, Char!
