if this is tuesday it must be a meeting day

roses on my window sill at work.  i bought 2 dozen of these (latin beauty) at sam's on sunday and i've barely seen them.  yesterday i met with folks from 10:00 a.m. until 7:30 last night and started all over today from 9:30 until 5:00 today.  great meetings, productive and all that jazz.

i'm exhausted.  tonight for dinner i stirred up some goat cheese spread and had a couple of pitas.  it was all i could do for the night.  tomorrow i will go through the lists of stuff to do and breathe.  hopefully i will have time for lunch and potty breaks for the first time in two days.  challenging - yes, frustrating - yes, but on the other hand it's exciting too.

i tried catching up tonight with some of you - love the happiness that i read today - there was a lot of it spread around.  there are so sad times too and i'm thinking of those folks and hope they can feel the warmth.  mandy had me thinking a lot about saying 'yes' and about old friends.  sometimes by virtue of being alone, my time seems to be subject to other people's lives...sometimes that matters and sometimes it doesn't.  it's a lot of something to think about.

and...i lost my lens cap somehow today.  and it was my spare.  guess i'll be going to the camera store tomorrow - that's always dangerous.  *smile*

  1. Gorgeous photo Char... sounds like you're very busy at the moment - but it's wonderful being busy. When you stop, there's too much time to dwell on things.

  9. oh those camera stores....so dangerous and I thought that word only applied to dark alley ways....like you see in the movies....but noooo, someday, it will be CSI discovering that just the excitement of buying something new in the camera shop is what killed me.....

  13. These roses are so beautiful Char! I love yellow roses and it's such a good idea to have them in your office...all it takes is a glance, just a moment, of setting our eyes on beauty to bring us back to center.

Thanks for sharing...and I love the old jars as vases too.

  17. Roses at work...such a wonderful way to make your day better even if you only get to glance at them between meetings...Thank-you for sharing them with us and I bet your coworkers thank you too...

I recently bought my first DSLR that has a lens cover and immediately wondered how long it would be before I lose it:) So far so good...

  18. I always stick the lens cap in my jeans pocket as soon as I remove it. Haven't lost one yet!

  19. I hate it that you bought those beautiful roses and haven't been able to sit at your desk and enjoy them. Maybe tomorrow. I enjoyed my valentines tulips for as long as they lasted. I need to be like you and buy flowers for myself. They brighten the day so much.

  21. Love that you're busy. And hey, now you can afford to go to the camera shop. A little bit anyway!
I'm having trouble getting around to everyone I want to read. It's quite distressing.

  23. I've been thinking a lot about that tiny, yet powerful word *yes* too....and I realised that it isn't just about saying yes to everything, but only to the things that truly bring me joy. I love the freedom in having the choice. :)
