i believe
a bit of sunshine ...
flowers to make me smile...
good music and homemade chicken salad.
those are very good things on a tuesday.
not everyone is that lucky - please keep my friends
to the north (nashville) and south (the gulf coast)
in your thoughts and prayers.
i believe in positive thoughts and prayers - the faith to see the crisis through. i believe in sending your love through the airways and hoping it lands where it needs to land. like the butterfly on the shoulder - gentle and kind.
i believe its better to do good than to take revenge and though i would never want anyone to mistake my kindness for weakness, it's better to take the higher road - even when that tastes bitter in our mouths.
i believe...i do. even when i feel caved in and hollow, weak and helpless. i believe because it keeps me going on, when i don't feel like going.

I love my cats so much I'd grab them before my camera, my camera means little if I don't have them to take pictures of.
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes complaining is good, even if it's on my blog or in my journal. It gets that negativity OUT of us. I feel like a big, whiny crybaby sometimes, but I'm glad I don't hold it in.
ReplyDeleteI believe too...
ReplyDeletelove and light
Admirable beliefs here, I second all of them.
ReplyDeletethat last line of yours could be mine today....and it goes with my post from yesterday perfectly....thank you.
ReplyDeleteand my beloved seaside....is the oil going to reach that part of the panhandle ?
and oh my lord.....nashville, poor nashville.
char so well expressed . your flowers are a bright spot today!
ReplyDeletepositive thoughts help. they really do. i am trying harder to come up with them when i am down, as things could always be a lot worse, and there always is much to be happy and thankful about.
ReplyDeletewonderful and peacefull words for hurting souls..
ReplyDeleteI needed this today.
peace,
glenda
I guess our thoughts were running in the same direction...so sad with all that is happening around us. I have contacts in both areas and it's so disheartening to think what they are going through. But our God is Bigger than any of this and through faith and prayer all will be good! I love your Tuesday and your flower photo is gorgeous~as always! Sweet thoughts are coming your way.............
ReplyDeletethanks for these words that I must follow more often than I do.
ReplyDelete...you are such a sweet person Char...I am horrified by the disasters...natural and otherwise...It just makes me weep and I have to stop listening to the news...my thoughts and well wishes go out to those endangered and in need...
ReplyDeleteChar, your post speaks so loudly today. I love your flowers and I like to take the higher road too. It is horrible the weather around the world, I too will send out prayers and hope they land on whoever needs them like a butterfly on a shoulder.
ReplyDeleteI will always remember how you put that, my beautiful friend. be well. hugs.
Such a lovely image. And a terrific list of lovelies. I so appreciate that you can find such beauty even when your heart is heavy.
ReplyDeleteperfect!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...you just spoke to my heart Char...thank you for these truths. And I LOVE this photograph.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful :-) love the sentiments on your picture.
ReplyDeletei believe, too...just gorgeous words and image - thank you.
ReplyDeletei believe too....just beautiful Char.
ReplyDeletePraying is what i do.
ReplyDeleteI've just been catching up with some posts since I have a few extra minutes since my Mom is watching TV. I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo, and although I find it hard to believe you can't find subject matter for daily posts, I do understand not finding the time.
I also agree with your feelings about blogs that have music. To me, they distract from the posts. Music is totally unnecessary on a blog, even though I love music, it does have it's time and place.
