my sweet model girl was so patient today as i dragged her from place to place today, trying to find the right setting. we got to try out some of my ideas...some are still waiting on the right settings. some ideas worked, some didn't. but it was all about the lessons learned. here are a few of my favorites for this week's theme "obscurity". in this case, i went with a sub-theme of teenage angst and running away....
Nice Photos, Char! I sure wish I could get my 16 year old to pose for me like that. Your daughter is beautiful. I hope she enjoyed the final outcome of the shoot!

Wow! Awesome pictures, Char! And I love your new model. She's perfect for this shoot. I especially like the third one down. There's real vulnerability in the way her left foot is turned.
ReplyDeleteThese are great, Char..! And your blog - loving the new layout and style!! It looks fantastic, dear.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to see what else I've missed.

ReplyDeletethe one where her hands are up in the air and then the one where she is holding her head in her hands.....WOW WOW WOW !
thanks you guys - now I just have to narrow it to about 4-5 choices. then the class will narrow it to one. she was so much fun to shoot with and she really helped with some ideas. I need to upload a couple more so you call can help.
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but that last one on the steps gave me goosebumps!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Char....I really like #2 from the top and the very last one!
ReplyDeleteYour model did a great job. The last image is my favorite. It captures all the angst of that age.

the last one is the most expressive.
ReplyDeletethe one where she is looking down, holding the teddy with her hair across her eyes, is the most poetic.
you inspire. thank you.
Omigosh, that must have been so much fun for you! I LOVE #3 -- I think she looks small and obscure next to that wall. I also really like the composition in that one. Wonderful work, Char!

ReplyDeleteyou are lucky for having a daughter so patient like that but I am sure she liked the outcome
My favorite shots are the last one, the third and the fourth from down

char ... each one is so artistic and different I think the tulle adds so much softness/interest and of course I adore bricks
ReplyDeleteI really love these images. Especially the black wings one.
ReplyDeleteGreat lighting on these, my only suggestion is some are a little too posed. Next time, have her just jump around to loosen up.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun shoot to do!
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful how a theme can bring out so much creativity!...I love your whole series and would have a hard time having to vote for only one...but I will say that for the theme I like how #9 , #11, and the last have your model's face obscured...
ReplyDeleteI think the second and forth are my favorites, they feel the most natural to me.
