the weather predicted rain so i settled in for a sleep in.  but, the weather was wrong and now i feel guilty that i didn't plan better for this gift of a day.  all is green and vibrant.  the kind of green that you think you should say verdant instead.  you know, to show that you have an appreciation for the depth and lushness of the green.

the sky is blue - that beautiful light cornflower blue - with huge puffy clouds floating along.  even the winds are still so they move slowly....slowly... like my body creaking along on wounded knees.

i need to get up and get busy.  maybe take in a movie, get some fun food and go by the nursery - i'm going to dive into the world of succulents this year.  i've been obsessed with hens and chicks for a while.

i'm slowly catching up with all of you writers....boy, give a girl a few days off and you write over 700 blogs between the lot of you.

    Even a little slice of the beautiful day you describe will be a treat. It is grey and cool here, but we all need a little variety in life, right? Succulents are fun (and easy!) -- enjoy.

    oh i know somedays i wish it would rain the darn sun comes out and i just have to go do things instead of being able to curl up with a book, wine, coffee if it's before 5 ha ha!!! and something yummy to eat, nah there goes the sun and i'm in the garden or on the deck argh!!! ha ha

    Char, just not enough hours is there. I love the hen and chicks too. I have some in my garden. I am going to put in a few more. glad you are doing well Char. I am going to try and catch up on your posts, now that my yard is more under control I may just have time. have a great day.

    It is so nice to have a gift of unexpected nice weather! We spent a long weekend in the DC area this week and the weather stations predicted rain every single day...each day we were there it was sunny for most of the day and rained only late in the afternoon... We had changed our plans for the weather but it turned out to be for the best anyways...love that serendipity! Hope you enjoyed your gift of haveing an unplanned good weather day too!
