ok, the first two are not from the weekend but from wednesday. but i was so disappointed in my shots last night that i threw them into the mix. obviously i'm not a night photographer or have much more to learn.
Are those photos really taken this weekend??? Like, outside???? WOW!!!! We really do live in two totally different worlds!!! Huff....how I'd love to be in your world right now....hmmm....
What a treat to see these beautiful spring blossoms! We're not quite there yet and it's good for the soul to see what's yet to come. Happy Spring to you Charlane!
I'm so jealous that you have signs of life in your area! We won't see green grass, trees budding or flowers here for at least another month. It still looks like the dead of winter were I live! *sad face* But, at least these photos give me hope of what will come - eventually.
SERIOUSLY!!!!! You have THAT many flowers already??? And Visteria???? and grass???? Wow...I need to move. They're beautiful shots! Even the last one...is that of the local Jail?
I just drove through Alabama and was amazed by the yellow fields...already! You show us a beautiful weekend. And although I adore color, I think the black and white of the vine twisting along on the barbed wire may be my favorite.
Those first two lilac shots would make a wonderful pair of prints! And I think your night shot is pretty good. I remember my art teacher in college made us go out and paint at night and I was so upset about how my painting turned out and yet in retrospect is was one of my better ones. Getting thrown off a little sometimes produces better results than what we're used to. I'm glad you're stretching your boundaries :)
you are amazing! I don't understand this website, it took me so long to find out how to send you a comment. I just pressed 'next blog' and yours came up, wow.
I love this series, Char! It positively sings spring to me. I'm envying you your spring blossoms. It's still winter here, but at least the sun is high in the sky now. I'm going out for a walk in the woods this afternoon. There will still be some snow on the ground. Sigh. The one magical thing, though, is we're visiting maple sugar houses this weekend! Yum.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend, lovely Char! xo Gigi
