I never can think of a clever title

falling slowly Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring. In other words the order would be:

1. First day of spring
2. First full moon after first day of spring
3. First Sunday after the first full moon is Easter

Complicated!!! And, no, I'm not going to get into the negative as I found out I've been complaining a lot of late. I just know I like things simple. Why not have Easter on the first Sunday of spring then? Or...the first Sunday in April. Or something of the sort. And....what is ironic to me is that the traditional food on Easter is ham. Yeah - think about it for a minute. Ok - caught up now? Just checking.

Maybe I'm grumpy because I've been sick for three days - though I feel a lot better today. Hopefully the sunshine has a lot to do with that. I am sad to say though, I think my little herb garden in the large container has given up the ghost. With all of the rain lately - it's swimming in mud. The basil has withered and died. Only the lavender is holding on. Luckily I put the pineapple sage and dill in another container and it seems to be doing very well. So much for my dreams of yummy goat cheese and basil with roasted red bell peppers. I will just have to buy some fresh basil later.

Today is gorgeous after high winds and heavy rains. I'm thankful that all I lost is some plants and there are only small branches littering the front yard. I need to get out and about a bit I think. I'm tired of only shooting my white tulips. May you have the most beautiful, warmest, brightest, joyful, and happiest of weekends.

  4. Nothing blooming here at all yet. Snow is almost gone except for a few places in leftover snowbanks from the plows. Air is still crisp.... maybe in a couple of weeks we'll be warm and have spring flowers? So for now I am so glad for your tulip photos! thanks!

  12. I have been feeling the grumpy guts coming on too. I am ready for spring and I am sooooooooooo tired of the winter weather...it snowed again today...and we are having to move and that does not set well with me. I am just so grateful that the sun will be shining soon and I can't help but be happy about that. =]

    lol...at your picture.

  16. I'm having one of those days too. Everything needs to be done right now and then I think nothing needs to be done. Perhaps the full moon is not a good thing to combine with a long weekend?
