the four - challenge

Georgia (through ELK and Mindwhisperings, two blogs that I also love) introduced me to a new photoblog today, The Four. She also hooked me on a challenge. So, this is my entry for #7. I found these little flowers growing along the roadside yesterday as I wandered and meandered around Montgomery and Bullock counties. The chagrin I'm finding is though I can find lots to photograph, there is little to no shoulder to stop and take shots. Who says photography is not dangerous?

  1. You're like a stunt photographer. It's like that movie Twister, only with photos.

  3. I know just what you mean! Sometimes I see an old barn or relic from the past. I want to stop so badly, but someone is stuck to the rear of my car and I can't pull over!

  4. I was just going through that a few weeks ago, I had no where to pull over for some wonderful shots, I need to head on back and figure it out..
-Yes photography can be dangerous, ahaahah. I almost had frost bite taking that self portrait in the snow, so cold lol. But worth the effort.

  6. It's a pretty shot, I'll bet they dressed up the roadside with their brightness.

  7. just yesterday and today i was feeling that same frustration. i can't tell you how many incredible things i saw to photograph today while driving or riding in a car. but there is often no good place to pull over.

my next post is going to have a photo that i pulled over to shoot. in this case, there was a photo.

your shot is gorgeous! it's a fun challenge, isn't it?

  9. thanks for sharing the four! it looks like a great challenge. and i love your interpretation, so pretty.

i feel the same way about danger in photography. some of the best shots of our snowy mountains (from the valley at least) can be taken from the freeway here.

  10. beautiful capture.
T and i were driving around athens looking for something to photograph and pulled over to get a shot of a little calf that had an all white face but the rest of him was brown - he was adorable, but he ran away by the time she got to the fence. so of the best shots are along the road where you can't pull over. it's frustrating sometimes.

  12. Yes, photography can be dangerous! And I adore this photo. Just perfect! I especially like how the one single flower is the most in focus.
    I like your font, too.
