weirdo
it's been one of those weeks where i've been having weird dreams. scattered bits and pieces. some pieces i want to capture in a box and hold on to them - so lovely, so fleeting. like a child, i want to pull them out of the box and let them sparkle in the light. but they dissolve when i hold on too tightly so i'm going to let them float out into the ether and pray they come back to me in reality. other pieces i'm happen to let go and never think of again.
outside my window a white moth flutters and struggles to reach the light within. the glass separates us - so close and yet so very far far away. a picture of my life - when something seems within reach - hopefully the window will open soon.

Love the texture effect you added on the second photo! Oh gosh, I understand what you mean about the window. Here's to windows and doors opening!
ReplyDeletedreams are hard to get a hold on at times, door will fly open i hope!..i like the images here the grass and that peach skirt...just so nice!
ReplyDeleteI will pray that window opens soon for you Char. Love the eye makeup on the one girl. stunning. made for a great photo.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for that window to open wide for you. SOON!
ReplyDeletelet them open soon! and do hold on to those dreams :)
ReplyDeletehold on to your dreams and when the time comes "leap and a net shall appear".
ReplyDeleteCute girls and lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteTalk about strange dreams....last night I dreamed I was having an affair with my husband's girlfriend he had when he was in his late teens, who I just friended on FB a couple of weeks ago. She was a friend of mine in high school, well, that is until....y'know. Very weird.
I hope your fragments of dreams come back to you in one piece...at least the good ones.
your photo shoot looks like it was amazing !
ReplyDeletewhat beautiful girls !
and building your portfolio is the best thing you can do...even with my paid jobs, I keep doing free shoots to add to my book....I just got an email from a mom who said "remember when you talked to us at target about photographing our little girl" ....that was one where I approached them and gave them my business card with my fingers crossed....
last year was really my building time...and it pays off....a family I did is now expecting baby number three and yesterday she asked me about a maternity shoot, newborn shoot and maybe even a hospital shoot.....
so keep doing what you love...throw your business card around and it will all come together for you!
you have the talent and the eye to do this without question !!!
Beautiful work as ever, Char!
ReplyDeletegorgeous photos! and i just know that your window will be wide open very soon! {hugs}
ReplyDeleteLovely words, lovely photos. Maybe the windows represent something in your life that is keeping you "hemmed in" - and your subconscious is telling you to find what it is and "open" it.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, maybe your subconcious' choice of metaphor is because it knows it's something you can do without waiting on or relying on others to do it for you.
Maybe ;)
You know what happens when you open windows....all the bugs fly in!
ReplyDeletebeautiful post..but man you have been title challenged lately. You need to go into some sort of blog rehab!:-)

The window will open. It always does. sooner or later.
ReplyDelete& wonderful use of imagery in your writing here. The portrait of the girl in the peach skirt with the queen anne's lace is just so pretty. Her mother will love that shot, I imagine. :)
