i got interviewed by fifi over at the french cupboard and had a lot of fun. plus, i am giving away a photograph. visit there for the frivalous goings on.
plus - what are the politics of setting up? do you do it? were you fixed up? did it work out (i married a blind date and it lasted a while so i like the fixing up thing). and "guy cute" and "girl cute" is there really a difference?
Ir qas nice to learn more about you. I truly like the natural firewors pic because to me it looks so real especially with the black background. As for blind dates I have only had one and it was a bust....both of us could not get away fast enough. Take care,
ReplyDeleteChar, so glad I stopped by. Fifi is adorable. And I loved reading the interview. Please enter me in your giveaway!! White Sands is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by French Cupboard.... I thought all you photos were wonderful I personally like EXPLOSION..... I love the color hues.....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics!
ReplyDeleteLoved the interview! And, of course, you know I love ALL your pictures, so it's hard to narrow it down, but if I must....Trio. Cherry trees and a Red Bridge is a very, very close second. Got my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteGreat interview over at The French Cupboard. I liked your thoughts on life's defining moments. They really are so effective, almost a test sometimes. But they do help us to know who we truly are.
ReplyDeleteI loved your interview...
ReplyDeleteyou are so you, through and through and that's what we love about you !
Char-That was one of the better blog interviews I've read in awhile. You are one serious lady, that's for sure. I wish I had finances for you to analzye, in other words. & I can't imagine you ever needed to work on humility. You are as humble as it gets. I've always found it's harder to be truthful with one's self than with others and I think you have that down pat. And I like that about you.
ReplyDeleteAnd, further more, I want to hear these conversations among your pugs. ;)
Also, not sure about blind dates. I've never been on one...
ReplyDeleteHi Char,
ReplyDeleteJust came over from Fifi's. Enjoyed the interview she did on you- love the picture of your Mom.
BTW, we both met our mates on blind dates!
Karla & Karrie
Really loved that interview! What a great photo of your Mom! I have to agree with you about the job defining who you are. When I quit after having kids, I struggled to figure out who I was (still am a bit...lol). It's crazy how that happens. I think you a creating a wonderful new path for yourself...keep following your passion and the world is yours!
ReplyDeletep.s. the lens is a canon EF-S60mm
love the raspberry photo!
ReplyDeleteI hate the setting up / blind date thing, but that's just me. I would rather introduce at a party or group situation ...
ReplyDeleteheading off to read the interview now!
fabulous interview char...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteChar you are a great photographer & a lovely person. I wish you all the best in your next chapter of life. Fifi is great isn't she? As far as blind dates; never really had one that worked out. I did better with random chances. I actually met my husband at a party that I was at with a date. Several months later I wrote him a letter & asked him out. First & last time!!

Loved your interview! like that red poppy photo, too ;)
ReplyDeletei say go for it {getting set up}. you just never know. i set up two of my friends on a blind date {one was from high school and one from college}. they got married and have four children now and are sooooo happy. if the person who set you up knows you well, then i think it would be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being part of French Cupboard! I loved reading about you and so enjoyed your photographs. Please... let's do this again! =)
ReplyDeleteBlessings... Polly
