hello, it's me

down by the riverside

i'm completely flustered by a lack of inspiration lately. i've worn fruit to my last nerve and driven randomly looking for new subjects. is it summer? is is boredom? yes, i guess i'm whining.

in other news, i saw transformers part deux last night and didn't hate it. (which i thoroughly expected) it had laugh out loud parts and i'm happy to report to mel that it didn't make me cry. nice job shia...and megan fox - hats off honey, you have to have the pretty eyes in show business right now. i think you give the ex mrs. billy bob (i refuse to mention her in any blog) a run for her money. plus, you have youth on your side.

this morning i had breakfast with a friend that has been my friend since we were 13 - i adore her and it's always so comfortable how with friends like that you slip right back in with no seams. what is it about a cracker barrel breakfast that is so yummy? and then a bit of shopping - perfect. and hopefully some models to come out of it with her daughter. now, dinner at something called a bass pro shop...this should be interesting.

  1. "Slip right back in with no seams..." I liked that! You have a way with words, as well as with a camera. I'm not too inspired myself. The heat is stifling. Feels like an oven out there. I think we'll perk up come autumn.

  2. Count me in as one of the uninspired as well! I was finding myself envious of a New York blogger today....one could not possibly ever run out of things to take pictures of there.

  3. Keep your chin up, we all have days like that. It usually helps when I take a break, and dive back into it head first.

    Have a good weekend!

  8. I have a friend I've known since we were 11, so I understand what you mean about those friendships. Someone who's been a friend that long is very special indeed.

  9. don't fight the boredom...or lack of inspiration...use it instead as a source of energy....which is what it really is to begin with....only we don't see it as that since it's not all cute and cuddly...

step back...look at your life....embrace what you love about yourself...

and before you know it...inspiration will come running to you in ways you haven't even thought of yet and surprise the crap out of you....

believe me....it's thoughts like those that I slurp up like melting popsicles during these summer days when my mojo is wavering and wishing it could be at the beach with its toes in the sand :)

and remember...I'm totally here for you if you need me !

  12. It sounds like you had a lovely day, and sometimes that's all you need. A break from routine, a fresh conversation, and a new idea. Like a new model! We all need a break form the intensity of our lives sometimes - enjoy!

  21. 1) Curious about your beef with Ms. Jolie for one reason or another? 2) love the whimsy you added to this photograph. 3) Summer is the season for laziness. Are you becoming bored with photographing flowers? I remember being excited by their little green buds and then the explosion of color but am now sort of bored by their beauty. I was actually dreaming of snow this morning. And cocoa. And jeans with wool sweaters. And sleeping well. But that's another story entirely.
~With that, I hope you enjoyed your weekend, Char. :)

  22. Oh I'm sad you're lacking inspiration, but it comes in waves for all of us doesn't it? I suggest perhaps watching a great movie with beautiful scenes, listening to your fave album...

P.S. Yes, I'm interested to hear this "beef" with Angelina too! I just don't like her because she's gorgeous! Haha

    so sad.
their breakfast is pure comfort food.

  24. My mojo comes and goes, that's what pushes me to make plans because it forces me to visit other locations and also forces me to socialize.
