gratitude:: day 3 of 30

3::30 today i'm grateful for smiles. smiles that greet me casually on the street, smiles of friends, smiles of loved ones. smiles of all kinds.

today, why do you smile at a stranger? one of two great things will happen - they will smile back...or they will wonder what you've been up to. *laugh*

and not that forced kind of smile either where your teeth are bared and you're ready to snarl. flash those pearlies in a true happy smile. go on....i dare you.

    Smiling unexpectedly is the best way to brighten your mood. And someone else's.

  3. Smiling is so cheap...its free!
    It's amazing what a smile can do for another person, not to mention for your own self. I've smiled at strangers and they actually looked shocked that I did! It's that aweful? It's like people have forgotten how to do it!

  9. Smiling.

    It makes the world go round.

    When I returned to work after being sick, many of my co-workers told me the same thing. And that was that they missed my smile.

    I must smile a lot. I just hadn't really noticed it!

    Cool photo. Love that processing, too.

  10. Oh what a sweet photo, and such beautiful processing! The other thing about smiles is they make US feel better too when we give them to others... :)

  11. We like waving at strangers or saying hello. Even if the do look at us a little strangely. I think being given a smile, laugh or a wave can put a spring in your step for the whole day.

    This is a nice project.
