overnight everything is awakening

suddenly, everything is budding, awakening....opening, beguiling, color is coming back into the world.

the spring lion is trying to roar here with threatened snow (pishhhh, not going to happen)...but i know that our spring is right around the corner.

it's early but these japanese magnolias are making me happy today - even through the cloudy weather.

  8. That photograph is so beautiful! You've inspired me...
My friend's magnolia tree on her farm is getting fuzzy buds, so I hope the frost won't destroy them before they blossom.
This is such an exciting time of year! :)
I appreciate the notes you leave me...thank you.

  23. You are so far ahead of us here in Canada. We just got our first snow last week! I have a magnolia tree on our front lawn and when it blooms - usually the first week of May -- we know that spring is right behind it!

  31. If you just took that photo today and you didn't take it in an indoor aboreteum...you must be at least two months ahead of us there!...It has been snowing on and off all day here and I thought of going out to take some pics but it was just too darn cold!
