knowing the trick

the roses are still beautiful on my window sill at work.  and i found myself stopping today just to stare at them in the light.  though my desk is far from perfect (or clean), i found a stride today and plowed through a ton of tasks by simply making a list and doing them one at a time.  it was the old 'covey' method of do it, delegate it or toss it.  don't knock the man, it works when you're determined.

as i left the office, i noticed the dogwood tree is full of buds - i can't wait for the blooms.  and the moon was hanging there in the blue, blue sky.  my heart skipped a beat at the beauty of just that moment and all was right with the world, even if it was just for a moment.

driving home was a bit easier today as i knew i got more accomplished than the day before - and i remembered to breathe.  that's the trick you know, breathing.

  3. Ah...you even have lovely light at work! Gorgeous roses - and the dogwood tree just makes my heart skip a beat...I have one right outside my front window, but those buds are still locked up tight, with more snow forecast over the next few days.

That's okay, though - I'll just breathe through it...

  7. All was right with the world, just for a moment. Moment by moment, that's what matters. Perception, beauty, vision, seeing how right it is.

  9. there is definitely something about the blue skies these days. this morning I noticed it had the look of spring even though it was 25º outside.
hope today is even better than yesterday, which was better than the day before.

  24. I love getting to see a little bit of your office. So glad you found a way to bring those beautiful roses into your work world! And I hear you about plowing through work. I wake up feeling swamped and feel satisfaction if I can get through my bare minimum goals--then I know it was a good day. That plus sneaking off to the beach for a moment :)

  30. Aren't dogwood blooms beautiful? They almost look as though they have fallen from the sky and settled lightly upon the tree.
