snowed out

this is as close to snow as i want to be, the falling bits of bokeh in this shot. this afternoon, dc airports remained closed and we are snowed out for the conference. my wishes were answered when i wished that they would tell me before i got to the airport. so instead, i got run errands and spend the day making some things for next weekend. i discovered the joys of a martha stewart doily punch and went rather wild making paper ribbons. of course my fingers are cramped tonight. *smile*

i watched the super bowl with family - my one professional football game of the year. was it me, or did the commercials seemed rather lame this year? the only ones that i liked where the baby cow/clydesdale and then, of course, the e-trade babies. (milka-what?) seemed like there were a couple of 'hangover' ripoffs in there.

hope you're safe and warm wherever you are.

  5. I agree that they were lame this year! I watched along with my husband even though, gasp, I don't really like football. Even made him some beef stew so he'd have guy-food to eat!

Have a great week, my friend! xo

  12. Usually the Super Bowl is the only football game I pay attention to, but this year, I didn't :(

Looks like we'll be "snowed-in" this week, with 6-12 inches of snow predicted Wednesday.

  13. Yes sireee...my husband still can't get home because of the snow. There's more in the forecast on Tuesday night. Sigh. I thought the commercials were better than last year, so I guess last year was pretty bad. Anyway, buckling down for another winter weather hit!

  17. Hi Char, that is the most beautiful photos of tulips I think I've ever seen (it's kind of my b-day flower--I saw kind of b/c they also say jonquils) anyway, I love tulips. I tried to leave a comment on your new post, but something's funky with the computer and I wasn't able to. Funny how men sometimes have a hard time saying it, but they actually feel it the deepest :) Hope you're having a good Monday!!
