spring preview

we got teased this weekend with a preview of spring - it was beautiful.  there was kite flying - well attempted kite flying (the wind wouldn't cooperate), eating fries outside, a movie, dinner with friends, breakfast with friend, shopping, a new phone and lots of other beautiful things.  and i broke down and bought a fuji instapix.  i couldn't find a polaroid that was reasonable and the fuji seems to be a fun alternative.  i'll let you know when i get it.

weekends like these remind me that i'm truly lucky in my life.  it may not always seem that way, but i am.  and i'm grateful.

  11. The last time I flew a kite was a couple summers ago on the beach. There's something so freeing, and soothing, about it. Wishing you many kite-flying days :)

  12. send some of that warmth up here....
actually i'm not cold...maybe due to the sweat I worked up while shoveling the sidewalks and driveway after another 3 inches last night....
at least it's exercise, right ?

    I think I'd rather fly a kite :)

Hope you're having a good day and thanks for stopping by while I was sick last week :)

  18. We got teased with spring this past weekend too. And now it's supposed to snow! It's odd for this area of Texas. But, like you, I'm grateful. For all that I have and enjoy.

  21. Your weekend sounds perfect. I think I am going to have to buy a kite this spring; they're such a good idea. And you'll have to post details about how much you like/dislike the Instapix...because I'm hoping to get one, but I really want to see what others think of them first.
