questions and answers with Fifi

i got interviewed by fifi over at the french cupboard and had a lot of fun. plus, i am giving away a photograph. visit there for the frivalous goings on.

plus - what are the politics of setting up? do you do it? were you fixed up? did it work out (i married a blind date and it lasted a while so i like the fixing up thing). and "guy cute" and "girl cute" is there really a difference?

  1. Ir qas nice to learn more about you. I truly like the natural firewors pic because to me it looks so real especially with the black background. As for blind dates I have only had one and it was a bust....both of us could not get away fast enough. Take care,

  4. Loved the interview! And, of course, you know I love ALL your pictures, so it's hard to narrow it down, but if I must....Trio. Cherry trees and a Red Bridge is a very, very close second. Got my fingers crossed!

  5. Great interview over at The French Cupboard. I liked your thoughts on life's defining moments. They really are so effective, almost a test sometimes. But they do help us to know who we truly are.

  7. Char-That was one of the better blog interviews I've read in awhile. You are one serious lady, that's for sure. I wish I had finances for you to analzye, in other words. & I can't imagine you ever needed to work on humility. You are as humble as it gets. I've always found it's harder to be truthful with one's self than with others and I think you have that down pat. And I like that about you.
And, further more, I want to hear these conversations among your pugs. ;)

  10. Really loved that interview! What a great photo of your Mom! I have to agree with you about the job defining who you are. When I quit after having kids, I struggled to figure out who I was (still am a bit...lol). It's crazy how that happens. I think you a creating a wonderful new path for yourself...keep following your passion and the world is yours!

    p.s. the lens is a canon EF-S60mm

  13. Char you are a great photographer & a lovely person. I wish you all the best in your next chapter of life. Fifi is great isn't she? As far as blind dates; never really had one that worked out. I did better with random chances. I actually met my husband at a party that I was at with a date. Several months later I wrote him a letter & asked him out. First & last time!!

  15. i say go for it {getting set up}. you just never know. i set up two of my friends on a blind date {one was from high school and one from college}. they got married and have four children now and are sooooo happy. if the person who set you up knows you well, then i think it would be a good thing.
