ay, ay, ay, it's a beautiful day

i couldn't resist the daffodils i found yesterday, even though this guy turned it's back on me.  there is something just so very cheerful about them.  the yellow harbingers of spring.

i was honored enough to interviewed by laura over at try handmade, if you want to hop over there to read.  it's a great blog to find the wares of several artists and i've enjoyed browsing through the blog to find several new items for my wishlist.

speaking of wishlist, have you seen the dwell studio?  i've been craving this beautiful duvet for a while but couldn't bring myself to spend the money.  well, little did i know (until yesterday) dwell studio also makes a line for target.  eep!  i've been shopping high and low for a new comforter for over a year (since i moved to montgomery.)  yesterday i found this and decided on the foliage comforter set.  the spring green just called my name.  i know, totally different, right?

today is beautiful day - let me get moving on the chores so i can get out and about in this beautiful weather.  i think today will be the day that buds will begin opening in earnest and i don't want to miss thing.  hope you get out and about too.

  1. Oh it's a beautiful day here too and daffs just speak "spring" in such a bold and beautiful way.

I love the duvet you chose and since Dwell has a line for Target I think it's perfect...not just for your wallet but the pattern is gorgeous!!

Off to read the interview! xo

  4. I like the quilt! Got to check them out at Target. Thanks, too for the handmade link. I went to where you linked the quilt (not the target one, the first one) but didn't see it.
Heading outside. It's beautiful in the sun today! Still cold here but ah . . . the sun!!!

  6. I came home from work yesterday and discovered the first daffodil of the year in my yard. I took a picture too.

Love both duvets. One of the decorating shows on HGTV used the first one once....don't remember which show. The Target one will be cheery and bright. I'm looking forward to the 14th...Target is debuting a line using Liberty of London fabric designs. I want to see what they come out with.

  13. Beautiful. I think spring has sprung here, finally. Took Daddy and his niece, my cuz to the cabin and we saw my crocus, dwarf iris and the jonquils blooming. I'm so ready for it. Of course today has begun with a rumble in the sky.

  17. Your duvet is beeeeutiful! I love how Target sells the affordable side of designers. I buy all their simply shabby chic stuff but could never afford the line from the actual shabby chic store.

  18. Oh Daffodils, so lovely. There is nothing that signals the beginning of Spring and the world waking up again so well. It's still a teeny bit early for the Daffs in my garden but I will be out waiting for them!

Just stopping by here to tell you that the comforter you picked out is my favorite too:)...I like it more than the one at Dwell for that matter...will have to check out Target for some new sheets...

  20. Yes, spring has arrived and we've flung the windows open during the day... The crocuses have come and gone, and now the daffodils are all coming up...

I love the duvet, dear. So glad you got it (or will get it?) for yourself.
