whirly

(via iphone)
isn't she pretty? a card that i got from kat. she loves her perch on my bookshelf.

it's a whirl this weekend. a day long party at work (i made potato soup and black bean salsa.) the soup was great but i stayed up past midnight getting it done as i had a late start last night.

tonight, i'm invited to two more parties, a dinner tomorrow night and maybe a visit with my favorite aunts on sunday. somewhere in there i have to buy christmas presents. luckily not much though.

what about you? you have something going on? short and sweet today - i though i had something profound, turns out i don't. sometimes it works out like that, right? be kind to each other.

  3. Some days just aren't meant to be profound, and isn't that a good thing? Makes the ones that are so much sweeter!!

Me? I've to finish decorating a tree, finish decorating and tidying up, get some groceries and hopefully visit with a friend on Sunday...it will play out exactly as it is meant to! :)

  6. We're bracing for the big storm that's supposed to start around midnight. Apparently, it's going to keep snowing clear through Sunday morning. Whoa.

  7. A perfect pre-Christmas weekend here ... Cue the movie White Christmas, the song Snow, Snow, Snow! We've got a snowstorm predicted for tomorrow night into Sunday, so we'll be enjoying the comforts of home while the snow's blowing outside the windows :)

  8. I am being quiet...I said no to a lunch invite today and have been wrapping gifts...

it's cold here and my feet, no matter what I do, don't want to warm up...

I did venture into an art project in my studio late this afternoon.... maybe I'll share it tomorrow....

otherwise, the grey is making me be in a "come on sunshine, would it kill you to shine down on us" mood....

    sorry for the whining....yeesh....I really was wasn't I ?

  12. Love the card! Potato soup...mmmmm. Have fun at your parties this weekend.

I'm working (and blogging on the side) this morning. Once I'm off at 12, I plan to get some shopping done...I'm trying to finish. Tonight Rachel and the baby are coming over while her hubby is out on a guy night. Tomorrow night I'm going to the Christmas service at my old church.
