countryside



just a little drive, through the misty rain. down a country road in another county. just south of here. a pretty little road with farms and pretty houses.



no traffic really. so i could call, 'hey horsie' so they would look at me.



or not. it didn't really matter to them much. they were content in their little world.



and they probably laughed as i got back in my car and drove. through the misty rain.

(i will be out of pocket over the holiday weekend but look forward to catching up with you all again next week. have a safe and happy holiday weekend to some of you and for the non-holiday people, have a happy weekend too.)

  13. I wandered around after work this afternoon taking pictures too. It helped me reset my internal tolerance meter....this week at work was stressful...trying to find beauty in the mundane was just the ticket.

  21. Love that second one. Back to some more purer photos (not that I don't like your treated ones, I LOVE them), but like someone else we know, the purest and the simplest are what pull the heart strings and sometimes, more of them are needed.

  26. The misty rain seems to have made these scenes even more lovely. The horse caught peering out of that lush green grass is my favorite, as well. Love that shot so much.
