the late summer doldrums are firmly entrenched here with muggy temps and dreary skies. here's another shot from the rainy sunday - i love this old building and wish all the wires, poles and surrounding buildings weren't in it's way.
now, off to a flea market, car pool and grocery. back in a bit.
it's been dreary here as well, but the temps are nice - much like autumn.
ReplyDeleteoh this is my all time favorite weather, especially after summer heat, it seems so right! :)
ReplyDeletexoxo, nath
oh, i hear you! when wires and telephone and light poles are in the way (not to mention cars and trash!), it is a tiny bit frustrating!
ReplyDeletehope the weather gets better soon. DREADFUL weather here. 105ish, plus fires galore. ugh.
hope the sun comes out soon for you!!
ReplyDeletebut a lovely building! hope you hada great day Char

ReplyDeleteSounds like our weather here. We are saturated from all the rain we've had. Wishing you lots of sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great old building. I like the roof. Is that chairs up there or just part of the railing?
Have a great Wednesday.
I feel as dreary as your weather, despite the fact that it feels like a beautiful autumn day here. Weird.
ReplyDeletemmm that is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of that building looks so mysterious for some reason. Haunting, sort of.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
totally great building !
ReplyDeleteand a flea market in the middle of the week...no fair !
It sounds like the kind of day to stay inside and spend reading a cheery book.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for the tucking myself in and reading a good book. But photographing in an evenly lit dreary day can create wonderful images. I love your photograph, and agree about all those little "extras" which creep in - like wires and buildings, etc. Do you know Photoshop Elements?
ReplyDeleteNot dreary here. Just hot, bright, and cool nights. Yay! Here comes autumn!
ReplyDeletelovely!
ReplyDeleteam having stormy weather here, so much so that i havent taken the kids to school. enjoying a rainign day at home.
same here too char, I guess the summer is about to say goodbye :-(
ReplyDeleteyour blog is refreshing. just found it today! i will be back. just followed it too. later-
ReplyDeleteit's been nice here, i think, i really can't say since i'm stuck in a cubicle without windows all day.
ReplyDeleteBoy did my eyes and ears perk up with the words "flea market"! In the middle of the week?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. We had several days of rain here last week and after a while I was going nutty. I'm glad it's sunny and happy today :)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is a perfect image. I actually love rainy days. Stormy days are even better. I always wear red, hot pink, or yellow on rainy days. When we have the first big storm of the year at school I turn off all the lights but one little lamp, gather everyone on the sofa and reading rug, and I read them Thunder Cake by Patricia Polacco.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love beautiful architecture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool building!
