pretty pretty princesses

it's hard to believe that my oldest niece is five. today was her princess birthday and the best cinderella ever came to her party along with her friend belle. the girls were mesmerized. but we adult laughed the entire time - as cinderella was trying to tell her story of meeting her prince, all the girls chimed in on what happened next. i will hand it to her - she had the patience of a saint. both princesses sang songs and totally enchanted the girls.

all in all it was a very wonderful birthday - i was utterly charmed by all the hugs and smiles the princesses gave and how well they played together.

  1. what is it about princesses that make little girls go beserk everytime? but i find that little boys' interests can vary from time to time. love the little princesses here.

  5. How sweet! I can imagine their faces when Belle and Cinderella came in!! What a wonderful birthday party- I wish my girls had been a little more girly sometimes, but they were just as happy with boy things as girl things..there was never any desire for princess dresses really....enjoy this time with your niece, it goes so fast!!

  12. Holy Disney! Your niece is one lucky little girl. I've heard of Princess themed parties but never with two REAL princesses arriving in full regalia. ;)

  17. How adorable!

Looking back, I wish that I had had a princess birthday, just once. I never even dressed as one on Halloween...was always the ghost, or witch. Never a princess. Can adults have parties like this too?
