what's for dinner?

inspired by:  pioneer woman

take one part "simple sesame noodles" by ree, then add a quick saute of fresh shrimp (peeled, deveined) and then finish with some matchstick slices of red bell pepper....and you will have a mouth party that melts your brain.

that is if your sorta partial to sesame noodles and shrimp. next time i think i'm going to throw in some matchstick carrots and a few toasted sesame seeds.  the PW recipe calls for scallions too but i'm not partial to the onion-y flavor so i left them off.  and i bet this is going to be even better as it cools and the flavors meld together in a garlic, sesame, bell pepper-y goodness.

  1. I make this very often! I didn't know the PW had a similar recipe...but I'm sure that's awesome too! I do a lot of noodles, A LOT! It's an Asian comfort food.

  4. That looks divine. I love sesame noodles. And shrimp. AND red bell pepper.

I'll have to make it for myself sometime - none of these men in my house would eat it, I'm afraid!

I use a similar recipe from Everyday Food that is easy and adds peanut butter...my vegetarian family members love it:)

  12. I'm not sure this is the recipe for me but I'll bet my husband would like this. She definitely has some good stuff on her blog! And actually you reminded me that I wanted to try one of her recipes ... only which one! LOL! I think it had something to do with chicken. I think.
