film noir

I love film noir....dames and bullets, a mystery...something to figure out, moody men and grain.

I especially love that they are anonymous - to me, that is the truest act of charity not to bring glory to themselves, but to brighten the days of others. It make me just happy all over to watch this.

  4. I love film noir too. And reading Raymond Chandler. The men were so cool and the women were so sexy-but-classy.
    Wonderful picture.

That video has just made my day.

  5. It reminds me of a lot of people that do acts of kindness every day without anyone ever knowing.

  6. I think that should be part of the definition of kindness, that element of anonymity that makes it all the more special.

  8. Love that video! I had a co-worker deposit money in my account at the school cafeteria,... now I'm thinking of what I'll do for my "random act"... it's fun and it will put sunshine in my heart as well as the heart of the one one the receiving end.

  11. This is really so touching. I always think of my Dad when I think of acts of charity. He is the guy who puts a quarter in a meter that is about to expire, who pays for the person that's behind him the toll.
