mosaic monday - beachy style
one of the things i learned about this section of the beach is the gorgeous dunes that build through the dual action of wind and waves. since the area has more houses and less access to public beaches, the dunes are preserved better. it gives the feeling of wildness and freedom to look out on the dunes.
please visit mary to participate in her hosting of mosaic monday if you would love to see other beautiful compilations. now i need to dig my macro lens out to get back in on georgia's goodness with macro monday. all these alliterative mmmmmmmmmmms .... could it be contagious?

char I think the dunes and the grasses that grow on them have such an artistic wild feel...one of the special parts of the beach

One of the most interesting thing about sand dunes, to me, is that they're never the same. You could photograph the same stretch of beach every day for a week or more and the photos would look slightly different. The natural world is amazing! Gret photos, and the mosaic works well with them.
ReplyDeleteLovely dune photos!

ReplyDeleteI haven't been on the ocean in a couple of years, but your photos transported me right back to the dunes of Cape Cod! Different sand, but same feeling. thanks!
ReplyDeletei love the dunes on the beach, but i always want to break the rules and run up them (most places it's forbidden) to view the ocean from there. the white sand of the gulf is just so gorgeous.
