today is a gift for enduring the late storms
a beautiful day after two bad day of storms...we're lucky here, though there has been some slight flooding in areas, it's nothing like the people along the Red River. my heart goes out to them as many have lost everything.
makes me count my blessings.
the shot today is a little brownie hawkeye I lucked upon today for $5. of course it came home with me...along with a beautiful mint green vintage slip. hopefully more fun can ensue.
...a little madness in spring is wholesome, even for the king...Emily Dickenson.
I'm ready to be a bit giddy and mad over spring.

First, that camera is awesome and the price can't be beat.ReplyDelete
And I'm getting psyched for Spring, too. I spent a day at one of the most beautiful gardens on the East Coast. Thanks always for your comments on my Flickr page. It's not something I check all the time and I know I should.
that is truly fabulous!! $5 was a steal! looking forward to what you do with it! :-)ReplyDelete
p.s. it's kinda all jackie kennedy, isn't it? :-)ReplyDelete
it is!! that's totally what it made me think of too. along with the slip thing. you know Jackie always wore a slip.ReplyDelete

does it work ?
and even if it doesn't....I'd just sit all day and look at it !!!
i'm so envious of your vintage finds!
what a fabulous camera!
and such an awesome photograph of it!
awwww,... that camera takes me back to my teenage years. wonder what ever happened to mine!ReplyDelete
it works!! I tested it...well, I haven't put a roll of film it. And...thanks to the move, I found some expired film that I had put away and forgot.ReplyDelete
Love that old camera, what a great find for a sense of a photographic journey.ReplyDelete
Now to find rolls of film and a place to develop them! What a great find.ReplyDelete
Did you folks get the wild winds?ReplyDelete
The tornado sirens kept going off
and on for a good hour or so here.
Fortunately, no major damages
occurred. Like you said, makes you
count your blessings! Hope you've
had wonderful weekend!
Did you add the texture layers to the photo of the camera, Char? Very nice!ReplyDelete
yes, there is a slight texture layer to it as well as some grain to give it that film look.ReplyDelete
I remember my Dad having a camera like that! You pressed a button on the back to pop out the bulbs, and they were so hot you couldn't pick them up for a while.ReplyDelete
nice ...happy moments...smiled about the jackie reference ~elkReplyDelete
Great find!!! $5 is a steal.ReplyDelete
Wow, how cool is that?! I bet you'll have loads of fun with it. ;) Love the photo -- very vintage!ReplyDelete
I just it sitting there with the bottles and the slip...it seems rather "girl abroad".ReplyDelete

yeah we complain about a little rain - wanting our sunny warm days here and here now - and others are truly suffering with floods and snow storms.
