moving at the speed of a bounding jackalope

10:365
time has exponentially sped up over the weekend and into the work week
and i wonder where it all went. the weekend disappeared too quickly (but for those of you interested - i now smell like coconuts and lime thanks to a gift card). work has suddenly bounded into full sprint with the new year - for which i'm both glad and nervous about at the same time.
i will visit but it will be slower most days as work piles up over the next few months.
and see the tulips? those bits of yellow sunshine promise me that it's only about 66 days until spring - spring - spring. yellow makes me happy - it does. it sings and gladdens the very depth of my soul. plus, those bobbins you see there in the jar - i found them in a store all bunched and huddled up for one little dollar. they had to come home with me.
so - the condensed version of the weekend: shop, movie, yummy pizza, sleep, grocery, cook, clean, wash, family time, movie, sleep work. *whew*
how was yours? did you do anything crafty or shutterbuggy?

I don't visit you so you will visit me, so if you can't come by, please do what you need to do for work and relax! I visit you because I love coming here.

I was a couch potato. I am watching all the past episodes of All Creatures Great and Small on Netflix. Pretty lazy, I know.

  20. Hopped over here from Mary Anne's blog. Your photography is stunning--made myself a follower so I can admire it often.
This weekend, I went walking and took photos for my blog on my cell phone. It doesn't have the depth and clarity of what you're posting, but it really gives good quality for something I can carry anywhere. I like combining photos with words--the two go together naturally.

  26. A lovely display of history. My grandmother had so many of those old jars and at one time I had a couple myself. Somewhere along the way they were broken. Beautiful and creative image.

  27. Such a beautiful photo! I wish my light had been as nice when I was shooting the perfume--it's been 72 hrs non-stop setting up my silly store and finally getting a blog-reading break! Thank you for your kind comments Char, they always make my day! I understand about the work piling up--where did the long leisurely days of the christmas holidays go?

  31. Your tulips are very pretty. My weekend? I found the perfect yarn for a scarf request and started knitting. I also started brainstorming about some knits I'd like to make for home (versus clothing/accessory knits). I did some writing too. My cameras have been resting. It's time to put them back to work. Have a great week!
