nighttime

last night i walked under a clear blue and red sky. from the building to the deck...a total of 50 steps...more or less. probably more. 50 steps to the elevator. less than 50 to the car.

another day, another eight hours gone to the giant, grand scheme of things.

night falls in a quiet hush to make ready for another day.

  2. Char you are amazing with your photos. I would like you to put them in a book and sell them please. Doesn't have to be a fancy published coffee table thing from Penguin.....just a collection of your photos rounded up and printed into a shiny book by flickr and then sell them to get your money back AND pay for a holiday for you to Paris...:)
I would buy one or 10.

PS - I bet you loved those 50 precious steps more than any other steps you took yesterday.

  7. Although it was just a brief unhurried moment in your day, it seems you were truly present and appreciated every bit of it.

  9. what a lovely night!

i often have that feeling of "another day gone, another day wrapped up and put to bed." sometimes, i wonder how much i've accomplished in that day, how well i've used it. because we don't get them back, do we?

and then i decide what amazing thing i'm going to do the next day.

  12. I will not concur on it. I assume precise post. Expressly the title-deed attracted me to read the unscathed story.

  13. If 5pm looked like it this here. I'd take my camera to work every day. Our sun set isn't till about 8:45pm.
This is so beautiful I love the way the reds blends softly into the blue.

  19. Beautiful sunset. I love the colors. The "50 steps" made me think of how little walking I do, actually, which I need to rectify:). However, if every step counts in the bigger scheme of things, then that's what matters! Thank you for the thought provoking post.
