last night i walked under a clear blue and red sky. from the building to the deck...a total of 50 steps...more or less. probably more. 50 steps to the elevator. less than 50 to the car.
another day, another eight hours gone to the giant, grand scheme of things.
night falls in a quiet hush to make ready for another day.
What a pretty photo! I would have loved to see that sky in person.ReplyDelete
Char you are amazing with your photos. I would like you to put them in a book and sell them please. Doesn't have to be a fancy published coffee table thing from Penguin.....just a collection of your photos rounded up and printed into a shiny book by flickr and then sell them to get your money back AND pay for a holiday for you to Paris...:)ReplyDelete
I would buy one or 10.
PS - I bet you loved those 50 precious steps more than any other steps you took yesterday.
Gorgeous! And may I second what Toni says... you need to make a book!ReplyDelete
The intensity of those sky colors is just amazing...ReplyDelete
these days are so short and I'm thrilled that you were able to see the beautiful colors saved just for you...ReplyDelete
Those colors are so rich and beautiful! I just love it :)ReplyDelete
Although it was just a brief unhurried moment in your day, it seems you were truly present and appreciated every bit of it.ReplyDelete
what a gorgeous sunset!ReplyDelete
Rich and luscious evening. Hope it's a good one.ReplyDelete
what a special light show...ReplyDelete
what a lovely night!ReplyDelete
i often have that feeling of "another day gone, another day wrapped up and put to bed." sometimes, i wonder how much i've accomplished in that day, how well i've used it. because we don't get them back, do we?
and then i decide what amazing thing i'm going to do the next day.
What a vision that sky is, kind of puts our days into perspective, making it all worthwhile.ReplyDelete
beautiful... what a great catch!ReplyDelete
Gorgeous sky! I'm just assuming that you're a little bored when you are counting step on a night like that?? ;-)) hehehehe...ReplyDelete
I will not concur on it. I assume precise post. Expressly the title-deed attracted me to read the unscathed story.ReplyDelete
If 5pm looked like it this here. I'd take my camera to work every day. Our sun set isn't till about 8:45pm.ReplyDelete
This is so beautiful I love the way the reds blends softly into the blue.
how beautiful, Char. Hope your evening was great!ReplyDelete
glorious sky!! hope your evening was too.ReplyDelete
That red is unbelievable! It feels like I'm standing right there in your moment. Hope you're having a wonderful day Char!ReplyDelete
Industrial sunsets are hard to capture. This is beautiful!ReplyDelete
what a lovely sky...just putting one foot in front of another right...ReplyDelete
Beautiful sunset. I love the colors. The "50 steps" made me think of how little walking I do, actually, which I need to rectify:). However, if every step counts in the bigger scheme of things, then that's what matters! Thank you for the thought provoking post.ReplyDelete
how stunning a sky.ReplyDelete
The sky is lovely. Looks like it embodies the quiet hush to make ready for nightfall. Then dawn.ReplyDelete
Oh such a beautiful capture Char - I know what you mean about another day gone, some days go so quickly...ReplyDelete
Love the photo + these words!ReplyDelete
Lovely Char!...You capture more in 50 steps than I can in 1000...ReplyDelete
