i've erased this paragraph about five times now.  that
being said - i hope you all have the freedom to be exactly who you are.  

i sit here in my room and listen to the ambient noise of the television and smelling the scent of apple cinnamon candles and see the delicate spider lily still beautiful in the old glass bottle.  and know that i'm safe at home.  that is a wonderful feeling.

  11. Do you have any idea how powerful this wonderful, short little post is? First of all, the photo is beautiful. Second, you paint a lovely scene telling us of the things in your home and feeling safe. Third, the statement on the photo is profound. Simple and profound. I've tried to put things like that into words at times and am not able to. You are my hero for today. OK, my she-ro! I'm so glad I was pointed over here from Christina's blog.
