you know you can't make a living as a photographer when...

Annie can't pay her bills.

Times are tough.

  2. I did not know that she was having money trouble. I knew about her partner, not that she died, but that she was with her. It is crazy that she has signed her future rights as well. She should have just went bankrupt. She is an icon....this is crazy!

  3. Oh heavens- I had no idea! Saw her exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London a few weeks ago.... ay-may-zing... (including pics of Susan Sontag after she died.) Very moving. But poor old Annie, having to sell her portfolio-I wouldn't wish that on any artist. She needs to get some good advice, quick!

I have a question for you. Could you shoot me an e-mail? It's about textures.

  6. My day is now even more depressing reading about Annie. I've never heard of such a thing as this!

  7. Well, reading the article it sounds like she'll make it through. With her reputation, she'll be okay.

  9. I read about that earlier this week, and wondered how she ended up owing $15 million. Wow! I hope she is able to pay back the loan and get her rights back...

  10. That's nuts! I can't imagine having to sell the rights to her photos.
